| More about the Fire |
The fire has grown to 50,000 acres and is reported to be "zero percent contained."
If you click on the picture, you may be able to see... circled is our cabin just before the fire got to it.
The initial shock is beginning to wear off. Rob has enlisted Jonny's help to begin drawing up plans for a new cabin on a shoestring budget. I think it's very theraputic for all of us.
There are a lot of ugly realities coming, I'm sure. But for now we just live one day at a time.
Personally, I'm just eager to hear from Jacob again. The rest of it... I'm not sure where I'm stuffing the disappointment. I guess I'll deal with that later.
In the blue is the initial burn on the first day. The fire has grown to the red perimeter.
All those little squares are areas that are fairly sparcely populated, but they say there have been about 30 to 40 homes and/or recreational cabins burned.Labels: family |
