Jacob emailed me today. He has been promoted from PV2 to PFC. I don't know what all that means, but it's a good thing!
Meanwhile, on the homefront, I am looking for some resources to start a Family Support group for those who have family serving active duty from any branch of the military. My sister-in-law facilitated a group when her husband was in Iraq.
She said she was involved in it for the two years he was in Iraq and it was a real blessing. They were able to get together frequently in support to one another. But they also were able to raise money to send care packages to the soldiers. I'd love to be able to know that I'm doing something outright that increases morale for Jacob and his unit.
