So here's the deal. I would never cheer on the Browns for 2 reasons.
- The helmet is more boring than braile opera. (I don't know... I just made that up out of sheer frustration.) Is there nobody in the entire greater Cleveland Metropolis that has ANY creativitiy?? What do fans have to show their support?? An ORANGE BLOB?? I gotta have SOMETHING to work with if I'm going to line myself up with them as a fan.
- The other thing is... WHY ORANGE?? WHY NOT .... oh.. I don't know... let's pick BROWN???? Aaaarrrggg! It's just TOO MUCH for me.
Well, the Browns and Steelers met in a meltdown of a game where the Browns got turned into shrapnel 27-7. I’m not quite used to this Thursday Night Football, so I was over visiting with some real neat older ladies; sisters (relatives ... not nuns) who live by us. When a friend called my cell and mentioned game that was on, I said, “OOHHHH MAN!!!! NFL ON THURSDAY!! I forgot!!” One of the sisters looked at the other and said “What is NFL?? No Flying Low?” lol! :) Oh well. I run into women all the time that think my interest in football is crazy. Nothing will get wry looks faster than turning down a shopping trip on a Monday night in order to catch the game.
I read the reviews and I guess I could have gone shopping after all... I didn’t miss much. Looks like I could have gone to a jr. high girl’s birthday party and caught what went on afterwards, with everyone badmouthing everyone.
The review should have read like this:
“Did you see Sally?? She talks too much and doesn't do anything," Nancy Porter said. "Tommy said that Britney said she should move to wide receiver because she doesn't want to block anybody, she doesn't want to be a tight end."
Sally Winslow doesn't feel her shot on Farrior was unsportsmanlike. “I didn't think it was a dirty play," she said. "I didn't mean for it to be a dirty play. I was just trying to find somebody to block and do my joooob. [I can just hear the whininess…] If it was a late hit, it was a late hit but when they got in my face there was no flag thrown [examines manicure]. There has to be unsportsmanlike conduct or something. [valley-girl gasp] ”
Where did America’s favorite weekend and Monday-night show of masculinity go?? Are we working them too hard??? I say if we’re going to turn this into a cat-fight by working them too many nights a week, let’s just drop Thursday altogether. Gimmie those men who take it like a man and just play the game. The Barry Sanders types. "Touchdown? No biggie... that's just my job. NEXT..."
Back to the Broncos...
Article reads:
Broncos sign school teacher?
The Broncos signed former Syracuse fullback Keith "Thump" Belton to their practice squad, according to the DENVER POST.
Belton is the Broncos' second practice-squad back who went to training camp with the Chicago Bears, but was released. Tailback Andre Hall is the other. Belton said he spent the past 12 weeks substitute teaching at North Mecklenburg High School near Charlotte, N.C.
"I learned the hard way you better get your degree, and I put it to work real fast," Belton said From Kim: Maybe that training will come in handy if he's ever traded to the Browns. HE'LL know what to do with our little Macho-Men truned Teeny-Boppers and then give the whole town a set-of-8 crayola crayons and get the team SOMETHING for their helmets!

Patriots:
At 9-3 I have to say that the Patriots, dispite their record and injury status, still have one of the the best looking players in the league. Go. Junior.
