First off: Today's matchups
Giants over Patnthers 27-13 Eagles over Redskins 21-19 Falcons over Bucks 17-6 Cardinals over Seahawks 27-21
Chargers over Broncos 41-20 Ravens over Kansas City 20-10 Jags over Colts 44-17 Bills over Jets 31-13
A lot of these wins were a surprise for me. I would have gone with Panthers, Eagles, Bucks, Hawks, Broncos (of course), Ravens, Colts and Bills. Wow... don't leave your money with me to go bet with! Yikes!!
______________
Now Saints vs Cowboys
The first thing I noticed was that the teams had contrasting uniforms. The Saints were in black, the Cowboys in white/blue. I had just finished watching the Broncos (in white and orange) get beat by the Chargers (in white and blue). I found myself cheering for the wrong player every so often. I sure hope that wasn't why they lost. I may also have had trouble distinguishing them from eachother due to my frequent tearful outbursts.
For a team functioning in a city that has been ravaged phsically, financially and emotionally, I really have to give it to the Saints for such a good performance toinght. That and the great coaching from their sideline.
First half was the "All Karny" half, with the Saints' Karny & Carny putting up all the points. Karny has never carried the ball in his 43 game career - but tonight he put it in the end zone three times!
In the second half, Reggie Bush was real strong in the third quarter, with a run that was a thing of beauty. It could be a one-play training film for all running backs. Go Regie!! .... Good Grief look at those muscles. I'm not much of a muscle-man lover... but there's no missin' those guns.

Bronco Update:
I sat there with my digital camera in front of my tv just to catch Shanahan with his glasses on... but, dang it, he didn't wear them tonight.
Cutler got some real good reviews by the commentators, and they seem to think he'll shape up to be a very good qb for next year.Labels: Broncos, Football |
