I spoke to Jacob this morning and he said he's going to come home for a visit in January!! ~~``I'm so excited! ``~~~ I will see if I can get some days off of work to spend time with him. My cousin, the Major that is serving there near Jacob, asked several of us if we would be interested in providing information for their media staff to get stories from soldiers and their families. He sent a form to me and one to Jacob. . I sure enjoyed seeing Keith and Jacob in the paper (see posting of article in my October blog archive). It was so cool to know that Keith was over there with him. I wish neither of them had to be there, but that's a given. It will be interesting to see what, if anything, comes from this other media inquiry. . Meanwhile my mind is racing about what we can do to make Jacob's stay extra nice. It will be winter, so we have a lot we can do outside and at the cabin. If it were summer I'd say we could go boat over to Seldovia, but I don't think that trip would be very pleasant this time of year. Maybe Keith will get time off at the same time and we could go visit them in Hawaii. . Ah-ha... There you have it. .
