| Called in sick |
 Called in sick last night. I just wasn't feeling good. Fluish, body aches, nausea... other stuff you don't want to hear. I attribute this flu to my friend Lisa, (even though she exposed me a couple days after I first started feeling bad... but don't tell her that!)
I called my boss' wife at home last night to let her know I didn't plan on coming in. She was very nice. She didn't make me feel guilty. I hate that feeling.
The first thing I did was get up at my regular time to shower off any sick I had hanging on me from last night. I dinked around cleaning house in my robe and wet hair. I gathered dishes, stray shoes, garbage and laundry. Had Thomas run a sink full of water to put the dishes in, (haven't gotten to that yet...) Had Chris take the trash out. Everyone was eager to get outta here for school because I usually don't make them clean early in the morning!
If I don't tidy up I will lay there trying to rest with the dirty house nagging in my ear... "clean me... clean me... clean me... " UHHHHGGGG!!!!! SHUT UPPPP!!!!! So I can head off all that insanity if I just spend a couple achy moments tidying up. I don't have to dust or nothing... actually - I never dust, so there. But at least the trip-over-it stuff is out of the way and I can get some rest.
I went back to bed and slept till about 9:30. Got up and started doing bills. See how far I got on that? Now I'm blogging instead of doing bills. Sheesh. I think I'm going to go back to bed.
Jan had to run the kids to school this morning. I take Thomas and her girls to school on days that the girls don't skate way early in the morning. Jonny takes Chris usually. Since today was Senior Skip Day, Jonny skipped school - so Chris had to go in with Rob. Today's just been weird all around. Jan called me to see if there's anything she can pick up for me. How sweet is that? I have neat friends.Labels: Kim |
