KIM'S SPORTS MINUTE "SLASH" ADVICE COLUMN:
My hero, Mike Shanahan, and his team lost a very close game to the SanDiego Chargers bringing my Broncos to 7-3. An update is coming very soon on game highlights. Stone.com keeps me posted on Shanahan. Total fan.
I was looking for a good picture of my man Mike with his new glasses. He only wears them when he's reading, so they had a lot of shots with him in glasses since the offence was doing awesome tonight... well, for awhile they were. When the defense is in, their defensive coach Larry Coyer has the floor.
Ed McMann asked him if his glasses were prescription and he said, "No. They were $16.99 at Wallmart." Maybe so, but they sure do look good on him. I'll have to get a picture posted. You'll see... good choice of style too. He must have let his wife pick them out. Guys, let your wife pick out your specks for you. We can't all afford hair transplants and personal trainers like Mr. Mike can... so at least let your wives help you where we can afford to help you! ______________________________________ Here are some highlights from Fox Sports:
Mike Bell's two touchdown runs gives Denver 14-7 lead at halftime
DENVER (AP) - Mike Bell scored two touchdowns on 3-yard runs to give Denver a 14-7 lead over the San Diego Chargers at halftime Sunday night in an AFC West showdown.
Bell's second touchdown of the quarter came with 34 seconds left in the first half. Running back Damien Nash provided a lift for the struggling Denver offense. Filling in for Bell, Nash had five carries for 55 yards and two catches for 24 yards, all in the second quarter.

The full story is here, but the truth is that LaDanian Tomlinson was just on his game tonight.
Tomlinson reached 100 TDs faster than any player in NFL history. He did it in his 89th game, four fewer than it took Hall of Famer Jim Brown and Emmitt Smith.
