JACOB: This is my son PVT2 Jacob Coreson (19) with my cousin MAJ Keith Besherse. In this picture they just met up with each other in Kuwait just after Jacob landed at the airport. Jacob went into the army in February to Fort Leonard Wood, MO. He graduated Combat Engineering 72MAC. He says he will be home in April for a short visit. We're so proud of him. Here he is the summer before he left. The boys commercial fish with their uncle just outside of Kenai, Alaska. He's holding up a King Salmon (97lbs!) they caught in the set-nets.
If you would be interested in PenPaling a soldier, his address is: PVT2 Coreson, Jacob 72nd Engineer Co., 1EN BN FOB Warhorse APO AE 09336
Jonny: This is my second son, Jonathan (18). He's a Senior here at Soldotna High School. He's the Senior Class President and a member of the football team who are going to state playoffs for the first time in elevendy billion years! GO STARS!!
I don't have a picture of Jessica, his girlfriend. But I will get one soon. They just went to homecoming together and got a picture, so I will post that. Jonny has joined the Navy SWIC. Here is a link to some news stories about SWIC. THOMAS: This is my third born son, Thomas (16), with his girlfriend Catherine. Catherine's mom says that they sound like a royal couple... "Thomas and Catherine~~" he he! They are a good couple and we have grown to love her whole family. Her momma has become one of my best friends. I like having Catherine around because Thomas does his chores so that he can go see her and his grades are much better since she entered his life!
Girlfriends are one of my favorite things about raising all boys. I always thought it would be scary, but it's turned out to be one of the biggest blessings.

Christopher This is my youngest, Christopher (14). He goes by Chris. He loves to play in the Great Alaska Outdoors. All the boys do, but Chris and his dad seem to be able to find every excuse to get away and go play. Chris is a hard worker. Whatever he does he does efficiently and intelligently. I'm always amazed at his attention to detail and his ability to see a problem, think it out and work through the process of seeing the solution to it's successful completion. That will serve him very well out there in the "real world".
ROB: Here's my big, handsome husband Rob commercial fishing. He's also holding up a King Salmon (55lbs) that they caught. He's in a boat out on the Cook Inlet just off shore. He works at Regal Interiors as the Sales Manager. He's been in the floor covering business for about 15 years.
His passion is Alsaka. He moved here when he was 7 and this is where he parked his heart. He has instilled the love of the outdoors into his boys and they have had many adventures of work and play out there in The Last Frontier.
KIM
This was me yesterday... but I feel a lot better now! I work full time as a secretary at an Engineering and Survey company, McLane Consulting, while running a scanning bureau on the side. It's called "Savers Digital Archiving." In my spare time (what's that??) I love to read, I'm very involved with my church and Toastmasters. If I had all the time in the world, I would quilt too. But instead I just think about it and envy Catherine's mom when she shows me her latest beautiful creations. My other passion is painting as in home-decorating type of painting. My friend Lisa is gracious enough to let me use her home as a canvas. Lucky me!!!
This year I'm going to work on a project. Other than getting my house organized, growing my business and loving my family & friends, I plan on teaching a little Community Schools course on The History of Christmas Carols and another course based on the book "The Myth of the Perfect Mother." Spencer... the child we never talk about!
And this is Spencer. He and his dog live at our house. We love both of them dearly. They are both house-trained (finally!) lol! Spencer started out as Jacob's friend, but he gets along with all my boys - he fits right in. Spencer has won awards for singing and he's an Eagle Scout. For Rob's birthday he sang a touching rendition of "YOU UGLY". I nearly cried. How lucky am I to have such cool kids? Labels: Chris, family, Jacob, Jonny, Kim, Rob, Thomas |
